Catherine Zeta Jones joins 'Red' sequel
Catherine Zeta Jones has signed on to star in the follow-up to the 2010 action film Red.
The Welsh star will join Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren and Mary Louise-Parker for the sequel, which will be set in Europe.
It is not yet known what role the Chicago star will take on, but filming is set to start later this year ahead of release in August 2013.
Galaxy Quest director Dean Parisot will helm the project – taking over the reins Robert Schwentke - which has been written by Jon and Erich Hoeber.
In 2010, Red took just shy of $200-million at the box office off a budget of just $58-million.
Zeta Jones, who has taken some time out of the spotlight in recent years, has a number of films coming out this year – including a part in the musical Rock of Ages and the gambling movie Lay the Favourite.
She is currently working on Steven Soderbergh's The Bitter Pill.
