Beach Boys to play Grammy gig
The Beach Boys will reunite at this year's Grammy Awards show, organisers have revealed.
The surviving band members - Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston and David Marks – celebrate their 50th anniversary this year and are releasing a new album and heading out on tour in honour of the occasion.
The icons of 1960s California rock "have not performed together live in more than two decades," organisers said in a statement, and will be performing with two other nominees Foster the People and Maroon 5.
The Beach Boys join a long list of high-profile artists already scheduled to perform at this year's Grammys show, including Paul McCartney, Coldplay, Adele, Foo Fighters and Taylor Swift.
The 54th Annual Grammy Awards will be hosted by rapper LL Cool J and will be held at Los Angeles' Staples Center on 12 February.
