Jay-Z set to 'wow' fans
Jay-Z hasn't let fatherhood distract him – he already has a concept and a title for his twelfth album that is set to "wow" fans.
According to the rapper's long-time sound engineer Gimel "Young Guru" Keaton, the rapper is working on a new album that fans will marvel at.
Young Guru told Complex.com: "Jay-Z is always working on stuff; it's a concept that I can't talk about but I'm marvelled at how smart this guy is."
He added that, "It was just so simple. It's not a concept album though. It's not like American Gangster; it's not a Beatles concept album. It has a concept and a title, and the title and the concept fit him so well that people are going to be like 'Wow'."
The sound engineer also praised the rapper's ingenuity saying the bright idea has been "staring us in the face".
He said: "I can't tell you the title, it's so good its like, 'Oh my god why didn't I think of that? What made you think of that and why haven't we done that before?' It's just staring us in the face all these years, we could've been put that out as an album concept."
Young Guru also mentioned a potential follow-up to the Watch the Throne album.
Comple.com quoted him assaying: "It's definitely a serious consideration. [It] hasn't been underway yet but definitely serious consideration. Has been talked about but hasn't been executed yet. Definitely could happen."
Jay-Z recently became a father to baby girl Blue Ivy with wife and singer Beyonce.
The 42-year-old, whose real name is Shawn Corey Carter, has sold over 50 million records worldwide and has consistently been ranked as one of the greatest rappers of all time.
