D'banji's Oliver Twist lands at number 9 on UK Itunes charts
D’Banj is constantly on the rise and ever since his official “Oliver Twist” single dropped online, his buzz has been escalating. With his “Oliver Twist” debuting at No.9 on Itunes UK Top 100 Downloads and his “Oliver Twist Remixes” album charting, D’banj is in a ploy to make African history.
The “Oliver Twist” virus is spreading fast, while out in the UK, Wale did a quick freestyle for DJ Semtex BBC 1 Xtra radio show on fellow Nigerian artist, D’Banj‘s “Oliver Twist”. The Maybach Music Group rapper never stays far from home with his music.
In an interview in Ghana D’Banj talks about his new label (The Def Jam Africa label we’ve been hearing about), the Vodafone music portal, his new single with Kanye West, collaborating and touring with Sarkodie in a deal with one of Ghana’s leading telecommunications companies, Vodafone.
In other relatest news D’banj has openly congratulated his former business partner, Don Jazzy for the successful launch of his record label Mavin Records. The two former partners who co-owned Mo’Hits Records broke up their nine year-relationship early this year with efforts to reconcile them proving abortive.
D’banj tweeted some hours ago that, “Congrats to my brother and the best producer in Africa Don jazzy on the launch of his new Record Label, MAVIN RECORDS. Wish you all the best.” In a show of love and appreciation to D’banj’s congratulatory message, Don Jazzy replied to his tweet with “Thanks bro[ther]. God bless you.”
