Soli Chief pleads with FRA
Chief Bunda-Bunda of the Soli people has called on the Food Reserve Agency to pay farmers who have not been paid for the maize they sold to the agency.
Chief Bunda-Bunda says the farmers have been waiting for the agency to pay out the farmers who rely on agriculture.
The traditional leader said this when he met first lady Christine Kaseba who was in Chinyunyu to commemorate world AIDS day on Tuesday.
Chief Bunda-Bunda says most people in his area survive on agriculture and non payment for the sale of their produce will affect their welfare.
The traditional ruler also appealed to government to complete the grading of the road which becomes impassable during the rain season.
