Rangers stop Power's unbeaten run
Nchanga Rangers have ended Power Dynamos unbeaten run in the league after they beat the reigning super league champions by a goal to nil in a rescheduled week 3 fixture played in Chingola.
Playing their fourth game in 11 days, Beston Chambeshi opted to rest some players just to re-freshen the team, but the ploy backfired as the usually efficient yellow machine lacked the cutting edge it has shown in previous encounters in the league.
Nchanga Rangers bossed the game and it was obvious by half time that Chambeshi needed to make changes and he duly obliged by bringing in Kennedy Mudenda for Floyd Phiri immediately after the break.
Rangers still took the initiative and teenage prodigy Bornwell Mwape found the back of the net in the second half. Power responded by sending in skipper of the side Joseph Sitali and Felix Nyaende for Sebastian Mwansa and anonymous Simon Bwalya.
But the damage had already been done to leave no movement at the top of the table while Rangers now move to 5th ahead of Konkola Blades and Nkana FC.
